ABOUT US

Passion and Professionality

Our family is specialised in language courses, translation, interpreting and other linguistic services and is based in Montalcino, Siena.

During the school year, we offer language courses for children, teenagers and adults. Signing up for our courses gives you access to a wide range of intercultural possibilities: participate in specialised workshops, watch films in their original language, travel abroad for the weekend, take part in cultural intitatives, attend English Full Immersion Weekends… and a lot more is to come!
During summertime, we offer Summer Camps and advice on study vacations and intensive/professional training courses or placements abroad.

Collaborating with other teachers, professional translators/interpreters and partner schools in foreign countries, we create connections between and among private customers, companies and schools.

TEACHERS

PATRICIA NATALICCHIO

is an educator since 1991, she holds a degree in Education Studies and Teaching of English from the JVG Institute in Buenos Aires. Founder of Canterbury School of English in Buenos Aires and Creating Connections in Montalcino, “Patsy” made pedagogy and teaching her personal and professional mission.
After years of developing workshops and innovative learning programmes, she developed the Bilingualism Project, a unique language-learning approach focusing on socio-emotional development and oracy skills in children.
With more than 30 years experience as a teacher and mother, in the past few year she has specialised in family engagement in education through an online professional development course run by Harvard University.
It is through this learning experience that the School for Parents took shape, a space for debates, workshops and conferences by educators from the whole of Italy.
Patsy strongly believes in the fundamental role of schools, families and communities in children’s education.
After years of experience teaching young children, she has decided to specialise in Early Years Education through a new professional development course.

MELINA NESTORE

is an Italian, English and Spanish simultaneous interpreter and translator.
After graduating in Applied Interlinguistic Communication at the University of Trieste, she obtained a Masters Degree in Conference Interpreting and successfully completed the European Masters Degree in Conference Interpreting organised by the European institutions.
Working for Creating Connections, Melina grew passionate of teaching languages and, in 2014, specialised in teaching English as a foreign language.
She is fond of illustrations (check out some of her creations here), she thoroughly organises the school's creative workshops and provides translation and interpreting services, along with taking care of trips to foreign countries (in which is happy to take part whenever possible).

MATIAS NESTORE

loves travelling and knows five languages.
After obtaining the Cambridge certificate to teach English as a foreign language, he decided to specialise in the field of education. He holds a degree in Education Studies at the and an MPhil in International Development from the University of Cambridge where he specialised in education policy and sociology of education.
In our schools, he is in charge of the organisation of courses, curricula, and Skype lessons.
In collaboration with Melina and Patsy, he has worked on the development of the curriculum and pedagogies of the Bilingualism Project.
He teaches history and social studies to the students of the Bilingualism Project, and always enjoys learning more about sociology and politics.
Over the course of the past year, he took courses in social innovation in rural areas and he is always looking for new projects.

ELENA NATALE

Elena is a passionate educator and teacher and she strongly believes in the power of education to
change the world and to help each of us to become global citizens. She studied at the University of Cambridge, where she then worked as teacher and school leader in an innovative primary school.
She is also a certified children's and adults' yoga teacher and She recently spent some time in India to develop her practice. She now works for the ``NGO Still I Rise`` supporting schools all over the world. She is passionate about creative and active learning, the arts, languages, philosophy, reading and she is always looking for new opportunities to learn. She already worked as a teacher at Creating Connections and remembers the meaningful times with the children and the wonderful learning experiences that she was involved in. She is very happy to be able to take part in some teaching experiences and be part of this community agian, to share her passion and to learn together with the children and their families.

TERESA CONSOLI

Growing up in the Tuscan hills, Teresa has always travelled and met new realities since she was a
child, never forgetting her own. Enhancing the territory has always been in her plans, a goal that led her to work for Musei Senesi and for the municipality of Castiglione d'Orcia as an Italian teacher for immigrants. For Creating Connections, she is responsible for teaching Italian and English. It was here that Teresa pursued her professional training, studies and research that continue to this day.
In love with philology and archival research, Teresa completed her master's studies at the University of Florence, graduating in Modern Philology and has a three-year degree behind her in Italian Language and Culture for teaching to foreigners and in schools, a course undertaken at the University for Foreigners of Siena during which she also obtained certification as a CILS examiner.
Her study period abroad at University College London made her mission clear: to make people fall in love with Italian by teaching its history, traditions and beauty.
Besides her love for languages and their history, she is passionate about art and especially theatre, an interest that has made her collaborate with the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte di Montepulciano and other national directors. With Creating Connections, she hopes to convey to students that learning a language means embracing its culture.

CAROLINE

This is Caroline. Her home is in London where she lives with her husband and two dogs but she is
often at Creating Connections – in person or inline. She particularly enjoys the fun we have at
summer school and loves teaching the children she has met here.
She was born in India but has spent most of her life in England. She studied Law at Oxford
University and has done many things whilst raising her four children including volunteering as a
special needs governor at a local junior school and working in a Nursery School.
She enjoys languages especially teaching English. She started Teaching English to children and
adults in 2019 gaining her CELTA from International House in London. .Apart from being
passionate about teaching children and seeing them develop and succeed she also likes theatre
and literature and enjoys baking and cooking.

CLAIRE

Claire is from Northern Ireland and for the past 3 years, has been living in Siena, Italy. In 2015, Claire graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Theatre and French and two years later, received her teacher training qualification at the University of Aberdeen. Claire is especially interested in Theatre in Education, Drama therapy and using theatre for social change.
For more than ten years, Claire has worked with many different theatre companies, on occasion as an actor, but more often as a Drama facilitator, in Ireland, England, Scotland and Italy. Claire is passionate about using Drama to help children grow in confidence, to develop communication skills and to collaborate well with others.
One of Claire’s most enriching experiences was when she worked for the Italian company A.C.L.E, whose philosophy is “Emotions Generate Learning,” as this is a philosophy close to her heart. When working for this company, Claire’s role was to teach students the English language, through the mediums of theatre and music.

LISA BATTISTI

She currently works as a freelance psychologist.
She mainly deals with adolescents and young adults, but also with Bullying, Cyberbullying,
separations and issues close to the LGBT+ community.
She strongly believes in protecting the rights of each one of us, from the oldest to the youngest and for this reason she han been a volunteer and trainer for UNICEF Italy.
She always reminds herself that if you don’t train yourslef, you stopgrowing, so she tries never to
interrupt her training, which she is continuing on topics related to trauma, victimisation, crimes on and among minors, internet crimes, gender and sexual identity issues, but also well-being and
recognition of personal resources.

PATRICIA ZAGORSA

Patricia is Italo-Argentinian.
She graduated in Psychology in 1992 from the University of Buenos Aires. She graduated with a
Bachelor's Degree in 1989 as a teacher in a Kindergarten in Buenos Aires, where first studying and
then working, her passion and dedication for teaching began.
Once she moved to Italy, she continued her professional training with two masters degrees, one in Professional Practice and the other in Relaxation Techniques. Determined to continue her steps in the Italian school system, she specialised as a Support Teacher at the University of Florence. She continued her training as an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Technician at the Voce nel Silenzio association.
Always in search of new stimuli and deeply convinced that training is fundamental in order to be
able to give children and young people the best possible and fascinated by the Creating Connections project, she decided to undertake training to become a Spanish teacher with international validity

HELENA

With a Bachelor in Communication Studies, and a Master in Advertising and Marketing, including
an Erasmus experience in Trieste, Helena has worked in communications and marketing since
2016. She works remotely from Portugal in the People department of a software startup,
organizing events and other engagement activities for the employees (as well as, communicating
all People initiatives). She also works as a Social Media Manager for Creating Connections, so she
is always planning our next post for Instagram.
In her free time, you will find her at the beach with her dog Milu, playing board games with friends, or making plans for her next travel.

ADMINISTRATION

ANGEL NESTORE

Angel is Italian- Argentinian . From a very young age he has always worked in the family business
in Argentina where he developed his ability to communicate with customers and trained in business administration. When he arrived in Italy he dedicated himself to his great passion - the creation of a special place. He transformed his house into a B&B where he could host tourists who wanted to enjoy a magnificant place like Val d'Orcia. A Creating Connections he takes care of the administration and maintenance of the school to make sure that all the students learn in a safe and welcoming place.
